PenguinSlide

Project Description

PenguinSlide is a simple board game that I have devised together with two colleagues. I took the idea and digitally implemented the game which can be played over a local network.

The principle is simple: it is a round-based board game with the aim of staying on the field as long as possible until you are the last survivor. The players/penguins can only move in one direction for each round, slipping until they hit an ice block or fall from the field into the water. On impact, the block of ice breaks, resulting in fewer ice blocks per round. At the beginning the player has to place his figure. Each player then places 6 ice blocks (3 per round) on the field. With this the game can start. In addition, each player has 3 Jokers that can be used in emergency situations: Move players, where the player can be assigned to any free space. Move Ice block, where the block can only be moved to a free field horizontally or vertically to the selected ice block. And lastly, create ice block that allows to create a new ice block on any field.
